Q How much memory do I need in my computer to use the SRA System?
A On both PCs and Macs, 32 megabytes of RAM is the minimum required, but we highly recommend 64 megabytes or more.

Q Will the program work on my Mac? My PC?
A Yes! Since our products are Internet-based and run through an Internet browser, any machine capable of running the following browsers will run our products: Internet Explorer version 4.5 or above, Netscape Communicator version 4.7 or above, AOL version 4.0 or above.
Q What is a browser, and which one do I need to run the SRA System effectively?
A A browser is a software program that lets you find, see, and hear material on the World Wide Web, including text, graphics, sound, and video. The SRA System can be accessed on a PC through either Netscape Communicator with Navigator version 4.7 or Microsoft Internet Explorer version 4.5. On a Macintosh, you can use either Internet Explorer for Macintosh version 5.0 or Netscape Communicator with Navigator version 4.7. (Both are available to download at no charge.) The SRA System is also accessible through AOL v 4.0 or above.

Netscape Communicator can be installed or updated by downloading from the Netscape website at: http://home.netscape.com/computing/download/

Internet Explorer can be installed or updated by downloading from the Microsoft website at: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/

Q I am visiting the US from another country. Can I access the SRA System in my country?
A Yes. Because we are available through the Internet, members of our learning community can access the SRA System from any Internet connection.
Q Can my students use the SRA System when they travel?
A Literacy Launcher is accessed through the Internet; so, once they become members of our learning community, your students can learn anywhere they and their computers (and the Internet) can go.
