Welcome

SRA creates opportunities for students to become independent readers and mathematicians. Our curriculum incorporates situations that reflect students' personal experiences. SRA technology allows educators, administrators, and parents to form a strong educational community where students can learn anytime and anywhere.

SRA delivers early literacy activities and assessments over the Internet to children, pre-kindergarten through grade three. Our progressive curriculum incorporates research-proven strategies to foster success for all children, including the non-reader. The complete learning program integrates compelling multimedia activities with a leading-edge data collection system that provides educators and parents with real-time data on a student's progress, and further relates that progress to state and provincial standards. The system is designed to support the teaching of early literacy skills in a safe, secure, interactive environment.

The SRA system allows educators to modify each student's personal curriculum based on classroom observation, or to align it with current classroom instruction. A wealth of tools and resources enables the educator to intervene in a timely manner to support and enhance student learning. Literacy Launcher curriculum content has been developed around research that is endorsed by prominent education organizations, and is based on best educator practices.

What's New

Did you know that it is "easy to log in and begin to use" Literacy Launcher? That the Literacy Launcher activities are "intuitive," and that they "make the most of the latest technology"? Reviewer Susan W. Hixson thinks so. Read her review that appeared in the October 2003 edition of MultiMedia Schools magazine.
